Missing the jump

Playing one of the top two players and a County Champion in the Singles League this evening. Beaten him before, but that was some time ago. He beat me in last year's two bowls final. About time for a win.

How does it go? Simply put, awful. Drop four on the first end. Pull back to 3 - 4. Then nowhere near and only win two more ends. He's making it difficult as usual with short ends, the mat well up the green. The rink markers have been moved and the lines are more difficult. But it's all excuses. Struggled to find a consistent line and length throughout. Too many narrow deliveries. Can't bear to repeat the final score.

Another period of reflection. Think I've somehow introduced forward movement into my delivery that isn't part of the standard, causing loss of accuracy. One thing is certain. Might be a decent Club player, but inconsistency is making it a real struggle to get to the next level. Here's the scorecard.
