Onwards & upwards

Next round of the Men's Four Bowls Club competition this evening. First to twenty-one, my opponent a good Club player. Very busy green this evening, with both ladies teams playing at home and another two Club championship games. So busy, seven rinks have been set up, making the lines a bit tricky.

Off to a cracking start, winning the first four ends to go 6-0 ahead. Lose the next, but then follows another six winning ends and 18-2 ahead. My opponent has a dicky back and is struggling with my preferred long ends.

Only win two of the final seven ends, but it's enough to finish with a 21-8 victory. Will need a better performance in the quarter final, up against the County Champion of Champions. Here's the scorecard.
