Last minute decisions

Really struggled at yesterday's social roll up to bowl length. At least six ends before I started to get close. Fine after that.

At this evening's Men's League Teams' practise I'm fine with length in spite of it being decidedly chilly. Not much help when playing skip and my team of relative novices are all bowling short. When my turns comes there's no easy path to the jack. Very frustrating! Nevertheless, it's a good session with four rinks in operation and lots of laughter.

Also helpful with team selection. On my way up to Scotland tomorrow and not back until Tuesday, the team sheets for our first matches on Thursday 2 May have to go up this evening. Captaining both the B and C Teams this year, I've got printed sheets ready. Fortunately also brought a C Team sheet with the selection section blank. The original gets scrapped and after a bit of hurried scribbling, a new selection goes up based on some performances this evening.
