First of the year's social events, the Music Quiz. And I'm running it. Forty happy puzzlers split into teams of four. Six rounds of questions. Jacket potato supper and raffle draw at half time. Thank goodness I didn't win the Head & Shoulders shampoo.
Don't think I'll run National Anthems again. Hardly anyone got the correct European country that owned each. The rest went well, particularly Name That Tune. Six points if guessed correctly from just from the verbal clue, right down to one point if all five notes played. Will do that again next year.
With income gained from the raffle, bar and £5 a head entry fee, probably added a few hundred pounds to the Club funds. Lots of fun too.
