Where's the ham sandwiches?

Good turnout for Opening Day this afternoon. Lots of players and spectators. Quite a few potential new members too. Had the usual fun drive competition. Came second. £1 entry, £7 prize money. Happy with that.

Halfway through the drive a couple of ladies quizzed me about the absence of ham sandwiches for the buffet. As tradition demands, I'd left them at home in the fridge. Fortunately one of the first to finish bowling and managed to race back home for them.

The green was a bit bumpy. Weather so wet, worm casts have been a problem. So a few stray bowls to start. But towards the end my accuracy was encouraging. Certainly didn't bowl anything short.
