Just a chance

At present every weather forecast is a bit of a drama. The coming week has far too much rain forecast for my liking. But for the following week, the week before Opening Day, a last it's all sunshine, high temperatures and light winds. Perfect weather for drying out a bowls green. And at 2pm on Saturday 21 April, when we're scheduled to start bowling, it's going to be sunny and warm.

Popped down the Club on Saturday. At least the grounds team are now able to mow. The green looked so inviting. But there was a bit of a whiff in the air. As the flood meadows dry out the whole area smells of the seaside.

So there's an outside chance we will get to bowl on Opening Day. But still lots of mileage in the forecasts. The British weather is always somewhat fickle.
