A ray of sunshine

Look what the postman delivered this morning. Ten new orange microfibre cloths. Would have liked them deeper orange, but was the best option available. Took one with me to this afternoon's social roll up. Didn't use it in the end. Decided to save for Finals Day.

Weather forecast ominous for the roll up. Everything from hailstorms to lightning predicted. So only eight hardy bowlers turned up, all male. The afternoon hugely enjoyable. Warm sunshine for much of the session. Entertaining pairs match against an A Team player and a social bowler. I was partnering an occasional B Team player. We won, but it was close throughout. Lots of laughs.

Having to be careful to schedule enough practise in before Finals Day a week on Sunday. Two roll ups and one competitive match against Kevin in Biggleswade. Maybe I can squeeze another solo practise in somewhere.
