Flying start

Men's Pairs Club Competition fixture this evening, played over eighteen ends. We're playing a couple of A Team players, so expecting a tough match.

In fact it's effectively over after the first three ends, by which time we're leading 11-0. Nothing wrong with the way they're playing. First end they've got shot bowl. Playing second, I manage to knock their bowl out, three to us. Second end they're lying three. My yard-on shot pushes the jack through to our back bowls. Four to us.

And so it goes on. Think there's only one end where, when required to move their bowl or the jack, I miss. Only wish I had better weight on my draw shots. End six, for example. Only required to draw one out of four bowls to reduce their score. Fail miserably. Far too many short bowls.

End the match after end seventeen. We're 21-12 ahead, so they can't catch us. Here's the scorecard below.
