Men's 4 bowls handicap singles club competition - Round 1

First club competition match this evening, preliminary round game against a fellow Men's 4s B Team member. I'm giving away two, so I've got reach 23 to win, my opponent needs 21.

By the sixth end I'm comfortably in the lead. Another boost of high scoring ends from the 12th onwards seals the match. A win to me, 23-8.

Neither of us play particularly well. Too much space between jack and shot bowls on too many ends.

Examining the draw for my next opponent. Note there's only one other player in the bottom half of the draw with a higher handicap. Seems all the best players are in the top half of the draw. If I play up to standard, got a real chance of making at least this final.
