Managed to squeeze a practise session in this evening before the monthly committee meeting. Didn't look too hopeful as I set off. Grey sky and heavy rain, but it stopped just as I was ready to bowl.
Ever hopeful to reduce the number of short bowls before the league match on Thursday. Not sure why I bothered... the green was heavy, the bowls damp and slippy.
At least I did bowl less short than the last practise... a whole two. But only 22 out of 72 deliveries within three feet of the jack? Come on! If that was a club competition match my opponent would slaughter me. Not sure I even rate average. It's not done a lot for my confidence, with several quarter final matches to fix up.
