St Ives B v Eynesbury B

Not sure what happened this evening in our return home game against Eynesbury B. Lost 5-2 when we played at their ground. But this time our other two ends were well ahead of their opponents for most of this match.

Unfortunately we weren't, struggling from the beginning and losing 21-15. Still, a final score of 5-2 to us isn't so bad. Unfortunately not so! One of our other teams lost in the last end, so the score reversed, 5-2 to them ~:0(

Played number two. Happy with performance. Generally got at least one of my two bowls in the head. Would have preferred a few less short bowls.

First home league match for me, and the A team were playing at home at the same time. Unfortunately no food laid on. No wonder... Hunts ladies had been playing another county team in the afternoon.  The heroic volunteers that operate the kitchen had served up a meal for fifty visitors.
