Jaded

Stayed on this evening to have a practise using the new scoring system. In fact had two sessions.

For the first, stayed on the same rink I'd just played the club competition on. Theory was I should get a pretty good score, being up to speed with the line and length. Then moved to rink four so I was playing a different line and length.

To be frank, think the biggest factor affecting the practise was that by the end I was feeling decidedly jaded. Have played bowls on five out of the last seven days to ensure I got all my club competition matches completed by the 30th June deadline. And this evening I'd played the equivalent of three matches. So even the first effort, with less than half my bowls within three feet of the jack, wasn't sparkling.

At least I've started benchmarking on the new score system. Think I'll give the bowls a rest for a few days!
