Merrily fixing up a few club competition matches, suddenly realised just how important the next two weeks are.
Apart from my first appearance in a club team as skipper, there are three club competition matches. Added to that a second round fixture in the English Bowls Federation three bowls rink competition.
And to cap it all, the most important fixture of the bowling year... the singles competition against my brothers. Even more important this time, since the winner will be the first holder of my granddad's bowls trophy which he won about 50yrs ago.
In addition I'm hoping to squeeze in at least one roll up and one solo practise.
Will it be triumph or tragedy in the next fourteen days? The only thing guaranteed is that there'll be a blow by blow account of every match (probably every bowl!) on Bowling for Gold.
