Bit of a late post about our September battle for the Harry Roscow Trophy. Nothing to do with the fact brother Andrew skelped me and won back the honours Scorecards for the Friday 16 Sep practise & Sunday 18 Sep competition shown below.
The green much improved since July and cut uncharacteristically (for Scone) short. Thought the speedier turf might suit me, fresh from the lightening-fast green at St Ives. No such thing. Andrew reigned supreme, particularly on the Sunday. Recompense for the win I had in July.
So the trophy rested in St Ives for all of two months. Must focus on winning the September battle in 2023. Then I can retain possession for seven months.
