Finals Day here I come!

First of five chances to make Finals Day. Eager not to repeat last year's failure to make any final at all. Had to sit watching. Agony!

This evening it's the Men's Two Bowls semi-final. Up against a good Club player who I've already played twice. First an easy win, second a frustrating loss I don't want to repeat again.

My opponent's jack, which he plays short. We both know it's going to be a battle of weight, with me playing maximum length jacks. First end to him by a single bowl. Next four mine and a 5-1 lead. Maintain a decent gap thereafter. In all but one end manage to keep him to single bowl wins, and have the edge in winning more ends. Final score a decent 21-12 win, but can play better. Too many short bowls.

First appearance in what is one of the two most prestigious finals. One of the other four yet to play is the Men's Four Bowls, the other top competition. Looking good! Here's this evening's scorecard.
