Every Sunday evening the updated Men's Fours league tables are eagerly awaited, amended with the results from the previous Thursday evening's matches. The results then appear in the following Wednesday's local paper.
Above are the league tables received this evening. The A Team is having one of its best starts ever in division one, unbeaten and competing with White Hart A, top team in the region and winner of the league for the last fifteen years. They've already beaten White Hart at home 5-2. The B Team is struggling in a competitive division three.
The new C Team, which I select and captain, is doing very well in its first season, vying for top spot with a game in hand. Our unbeaten run will be tested this coming Thursday. Playing Buckden B, the team immediately below us, at their ground. Understand the green is a bit of a challenge.
