Looking forward

Last indoor match of the season this evening, against our sister team. They're second in the division and inflicted the top team's first defeat last week. We're bottom.

You wouldn't know it from the start. We're almost half way through before they win an end. Unfortunately they pick up seven in two ends, taking the score from 11-0 to 11-7.

We rally, winning the next three ends to go 15 - 7 up. Surely we can't be caught. But the rush is on. With the next three ends going to our opponents, we come to the final end all square. And yes, you guessed it. Yet again we lose by the narrowest of margins.

That's effectively the end of 2018 bowling. Opening Day and start of the outdoor season a week on Saturday. Can't wait!
