At last! The draw for the Club competitions is on the noticeboard. How have I done in the seven competitions entered? Pretty tough actually! Certainly a tougher initial draw than last year. And my handicap is 7, second only to the highest of 8. Here's the draw.
- Mixed Singles : Playing the Club's top lady bowler, a County champion.
- Senior Singles : Against the same lady bowler.
- Club Pairs : And again! The same lady, her partner being the Club's 2 & 4 bowls & handicap singles champion. If me and Geoff get through this one we'll be singing. Maybe they're worried, since we're current Club Pairs Champions!
- Handicap Singles : Tough match against an experienced Club player. He's playing off 4, so it's 24 to win for me, 21 for him.
- Drawn Pairs : My partner is a good Club player. We're up against a couple of decent bowlers.
- Men's 4 Bowls : Bye. Almost certainly be playing the current English National 2 Bowls Champion. No pressure there!
- Men's 2 Bowls : Bye.
