March committee meeting this morning. Should be all keen and eager with only a month to go to Opening Day. But things don't look too bright. We've had so much rain and snow, green-keeping is three weeks behind schedule. Looks ominously like what happened last year. We all turn up on 21 April, pay our membership fees, eat the sandwiches and go home without a bowl being launched.
Got to keep thinking positive. These things normally balance out, so maybe a run-in of dry warm weather will make the difference. In the meantime think I'll search out a friendly green that's open before 21 April and see if I can blag an early game. Desperate? Guilty!
