Going for a roll

Poor performance at our Men's 4s league match this evening, away against Huntingdon B. Four points and three places below us in the table, was hoping for a win.

Clear from the start not going to get that. Our other two rinks quickly fall behind. For them. it's more a case of how they can minimise the embarrassment.

Our rink is doing well, 13-4 ahead at half-way. Unfortunately, we decide to make a game of it, letting the opposition catch us with just two ends to go. Ahead by one as we play the last end, we're lucky to just drop one for a draw.

The evening ends on a downer. A loss 1-6 in point. Almost a bad, cheese or ham rolls for tea.
