Good win for first league match

Happy with the result of my first league match as captain. Huntingdon C came second bottom of the division last year, so even though we were playing at Huntingdon, we needed to win.

Bit frustrating the only rink we lost on was the one I was skipping. Started off so well, 9-3 up at the half way point. But as the evening wore on we failed to adjust for the increasingly wider line required. At least it was a battle right to the end. Happy with my performance, though I'd rather not play skip in future.

Our other two rinks really did well, winning 18-6 and 32-3. Retired to the clubhouse for a tea of ham and cheese sandwiches and cakes. Here are the results cards.
