Amazed by the varying fortunes of our men's fours B team. Were riding on a high at the beginning of the season with five away wins. Now the performance is variable.
This evening we were away to Eynesbury C, second bottom of the league and with only two wins this season. Make that three.
We got thrashed on our rink 23-9. Kept giving them scores of four and five. I struggled as lead to get anywhere near the jack until about the fifteenth end. Then realised the rinks were narrower than normal. I use the rink marker as a target, but had to bowl outside the rink to get any accuracy. From then on much better. But again left wondering why it took me most of the match to spot that. The other players in my group didn't fare much better.
On the other two rinks we also had a hard time. At least rink two managed to pull the deficit back and scrape a draw on the last end.
