Club competitions draw

Such a lovely evening, cycled down to the bowls club for the competition draw. Also had a quiz and baked potatoes.

Happy with who I'm playing. Avoided all the tough club players. Even got three byes. Last year I was in every preliminary round.

The most interesting outcome is I'm playing the same bowler in three competitions, Tony B. May be four. I've got a bye in the men's handicapped. I play the winner of Peter O and, yes, you've guessed it, Tony B.

Tony knocked me out of a competition last year, when I didn't have a clue what I was doing. I'm better armed now. At last week's league match he was third to my second. I noticed a fair number of his bowls were too narrow, so I do fancy my chances.

Off for a few days holiday in Hunstanton from Monday, back Friday. Hope I can get a solo practise session in tomorrow evening before we go.
