Signs are good that I'll at least put up a good fight. Been down to the roll up this afternoon where I was getting almost half my bowls within one metre of the jack. Thought I'd better go since I've not had a competitive game for over two weeks.
Whilst at the club I learned the men's B team captain had been trying to get hold of me a couple of times without success to see if I could play, someone having dropped out at short notice. Checked the member's register to find only my landline number was shown. We never check calls on the landline. Changed the entry to my mobile number. Must contact the captain to apologise and let him know the right number to call. Yet more missed chances to play for the team, and there are only a few more fixtures remaining!

Well, here we go. Off to the bowls club for the quarter final match. Gulp!
