Crossed the line

Down for the twice weekly roll up this afternoon, did the decent thing and put a cross against my name for Thursday's league match. Really can't duck the prearranged penultimate meeting for the St Ives Flower & Produce Show on the same evening. Probably wouldn't have been selected anyway... quite a few ticks for the selected players and one of the other reserves.

Came away from the roll up feeling quite positive though. Had a good session. Even on my worst ends I was getting at least one wood near the jack. On the best I was getting three close.

The more natural grip is working well. The length was good too. Need to work on a tendency to roll one bowl so far off line I'm occasionally in danger of playing on two rinks at the same time.
