Oh dear! Half way through our pairs quarter final match this morning the A team captain wandered in just as I bowled a wood with the wrong bias which rolled right into the side gully. He could hardly miss it since we were on rink one... oops!
"Here are couple of things that are spare, if you don't want any just return them" he said. Turned out to be a club top and waterproof previously owned by Jon Cross, the club treasurer who passed away a few weeks ago. Must have cost the best part of £100. Feel quite touched.
Hopefully it means I'm not too far away from at last getting a place in the club's league team. Will have to get the monogram changed, though being in the domestic dog house at present for a major diary failure, I'm not sure when that will happen ~;o(
