Cracking start, Gromit!

First singles league match this afternoon. Off to a cracking start. Up 7-1 by the fifth end.

Almost fall foul of a bad mistake on the next end. My opponent too heavy with her first three, I've got the jack surrounded. Fail to see the danger, my third another in the count rather than covering the back. Her last bowl picks up the jack, heading to carry it back to go four up. Fortunately the jack hits my furthest bowl and bounces back. My last makes it four. The difference between going 11-1 up, and what might have been 7-5!

My opponent isn't playing up to her normal standard. I'm playing about 90%. The match ends 37-2 to me. Should put me top of Division 1 after the first week. Here's the scorecard.
