On the up

Had my best game of the season this evening, Three Bowls Rinks (men's triples) at home played over eighteen ends against a very good team from Papworth. We lost 11-14. Very few short bowls, the odd range-finding long bowl. Otherwise most within a yard, many within a foot or less. Rink 4 played superbly. Will use again if my choice.

The Club competitions draw is on the noticeboard. Some intriguing fixtures. Got Four Wood Singles and Over 60s to play by 15 June, both against the same good B Team player. Others can be played up to July. Most challenging is the Two Wood Singles, against one of the top three Club players. If I win that, probably up against our ex-Two Wood National Champion. Now there are a couple of challenges!
