Captain Pugwash

Before the match this evening was chatting to the current B Team Captain, who took over from me at the beginning of this season. He lives a few miles out of St Ives and is finding it a bit of a bind having to travel to the Club twice a week just to put up the team sheet, then take it down again and check availability.

A few minutes discussion and I'm back as B Team Captain from 2019! Already buzzing with ideas. To combat the few grumbles from players who don't get a regular game, maybe I'll maintain a performance chart to make selection more transparent. And certainly try playing all our matches in the direction of social roll up games, when most of the B Team bowlers play. See if I can limit afternoon roll ups to the same three rinks.
