Steady!

Five months of outdoor bowling. Seven months of closed season and no action. Hardly seems fair. At least one reason now to feel positive... only seven weeks to go to Opening Day! But with today's weather a windchill of -11C and heavy snow, seems a million miles away from warm sunny afternoon roll ups.

The new Thomas Taylor matching waterproof, shirt and trainers have been waiting for an outing since arriving in October. Still awaiting delivery of the trousers. Bought a new set of Club stickers. Dying to start polishing my bowls and sprucing up the equipment. Therein lies the path to madness. Start getting ready now... and what to do for the next six weeks and six days? Maybe I can start trawling around to see what greens open before Saturday 21 April so I can cadge an early game or two.

Just got to hold my nerve and know that the 2018 season is going to be...
