Player ranking

Hardly a day goes by without me thinking about bowls. With my three Club Championships in 2017, started to ponder about all the players who've won competitions over the years. A good number of past members are remembered with reverence for their skill. How do they compare? And where do I rank against all other previous winners? Top half? Top hundred?

Since the Club was founded over a hundred years ago, 241 members have won one or more competitions. Below is a list of all winning members, ranked on the criteria shown. The ranking includes winners right up to and including the 2017 season. When viewing the ranking, the following has to be borne in mind.
  1. Today there are more Club, County and National competitions to enter than existed when the Club was first formed, so current players have a much better chance than original members of winning something.
  2. Is a County Singles win worth more than multiple Club Singles wins?
The ranking criteria are as follows.
  1. Any National win trumps County or Club.
  2. Any County win trumps Club.
  3. Any Singles win trumps Pairs, Triples or Fours.
  4. Any Pairs win trumps Triples or Fours.
Where do I figure? Prior to this year, my one singles win put me at equal 108. The three wins this year have boosted me up to 56. Another couple of singles wins in 2018 would take me to 31. A County Singles or Pairs win in addition would take me to somewhere near the top 20. Just shows how much there is to do!

Here are the rankings.
