We're up to fourth!

Updated league tables published this afternoon. Following our 7-0 win yesterday, we've jumped up several places to fourth in the division. Very happy. In the past we've been called the yo-yo team, constantly bouncing between promotion from division 4, relegation from division 3. I set a target of 40 points to avoid going down this year. The division has been so tight, looks like that wouldn't have been enough to stay up. But with 55 points and fourth place, now left with the thought that, had our home form been better, we could have been promotion contenders.

At least I'll be leaving a good legacy. Long had an ambition to play for the A Team, riding high in division 1. No chance of being selected while I'm B Team captain. I've just let the Chairman know I'd like to give up the B Team captaincy. We're going to have a chat about it this evening.
