The solo session this afternoon not quite to plan. Employed the new upright method of delivery. Worst result ever. Only 30% of bowls within one yard. Almost one in four bowls short. So bad, I'm not going to record the results.
Even when the crouching delivery was reinstated temporarily, no improvement. Was wearing my contact lenses and sunglasses to bowl for the first time. Very bright sunshine. The green very dry. The conditions were described by another player as 'tricky'... another 26 excuses reasons are available.
The new delivery does make it much easier to consistently hit the line. What deteriorated was finding the right length. Think this was because I went back to using a full backswing. Varying the follow through speed to change length is difficult. Must return to pushing the bowl.
