Social triples roll up this afternoon. First opportunity to test the new method of fixing the line, picking an aiming point at the end of the rink. Result? When I manage to keep my arm straight, works well.
Also have an annoying habit of not believing my own eyes. Our rink has a particularly wide hand where the aiming point is outside the rink. Nothing more satisfying than seeing the bowl come into the jack almost at right angles in a wide arc. Nothing more annoying than playing too narrow and ending up way over the opposite side of the jack. My heart knows where the aiming point is, but my mind thinks it knows better.
Thinking positively, at least I'm getting one bowl reasonably close. Must have a solo practise this weekend.
