Chinese torture

Away for a few days holiday in Hunstanton. Torture every day as I walk past one of the most stunning locations for a bowls green, shown above. Or two in fact, both high quality greens. Overlooking The Wash, one of Hunstanton's claims to fame is that it's the only east coast resort facing west. So there are some amazing sunsets. Hunstanton Cliff Parade Bowls Club's annual week-long open tournament was obviously popular. Both greens filled from morning to evening with eager and skilled bowlers.

A rainy start this morning worked to my advantage. Decided to return home early. Early enough for me to attend this afternoon's club social roll up. Bit of a mixed performance, the green so fast and variable, playing the rinks running away from the clubhouse.

And two good bits of good news. My Over 60s Singles club competition fixture is on for Sunday at 6.30pm. And the B Team won on Thursday evening against Huntingdon C, 5-2 on points as I'd hoped. The scoresheets are shown below.
