On fire

Not got to many of the social roll ups I so enjoy in recent weeks. For the last fortnight the Tuesday roll up has been changed to Monday because of ladies fixtures. Today I'm free to play. It's a beautiful sunny afternoon, and the number of members playing means we've got pairs on two rinks. I'm on one of these, drawn with my mate Tony. And we've got a real challenge, up against an A team player and a capable colleague from our B team.

Tony likes playing skip, I like lead. So we agree to stick to those positions rather than change over half way. We've got our opponents in trouble from the start, going into a convincing lead.

Never look back. After eighteen ends we win 23-6. Our opponents didn't play badly, just that we were really on fire.
