Last but one men's fours league match this evening, at home to Buckden B.
On our rink we're up against it from the start. Pretty soon losing 7-1. But the team gradually warms up. Maybe an inappropriate description, since we're cooled down somewhat when the only ominous cloud in sight decides to give us a good soaking. But under a glorious rainbow we're soon catching up. Win our game 21-14.
Retire to the clubhouse for a tea of chips, ham and cheese rolls. One of the rinks seems well behind. They're still bowling in almost total darkness. We end up winning the match 5-2 in points.
Remembered the lessons learned from Tuesday evening, particularly bowling with a straight arm. So towel dropped and right arm behind left elbow to lock. Back on track, bowling some very tasty shots. And for the first time, I really enjoyed a men's fours game.
