On our way up

Local derby this afternoon against Houghton A in the Over 60s league. I'm playing second, our lead bowler is the ladies club champion. By half time tea and biscuits it's 9-9.

We then turn on the afterburners and a further nine ends sees us score 20 to their 4. Final result for our rink 29-13. With a win and draw on the other two rinks, points score is 6-1.

Last week's whitewash against our A team saw us shoot to fourth place in the league from the middle of the table. This might see us move to third or second place. Hurrah!
