Been away for a few days in Hunstanton, gazing with envy at the two bowling greens on the promenade. So nipped down to the bowls club at the first opportunity this evening for a quick practise. Interrupted when I had to mark a club competition. The lady marker split her trousers on one of the many occasions she had to measure.
Nothing remarkable about this evenings result other than a cracking start over the first six ends. Still some way off the current target. The encouraging thing is I'm definitely getting into an established routine. Enabling me to think less about the mechanics, more about the shot I'm going to play.
Hoping I'll see the benefits in the coming weeks in the lead up to finals day in September. Got two quarter finals and two semifinals to play.
Sad thing this evening was the speed the dusk set in. Still playing at 9.00pm, but definitely gloomy by then. Really going to miss my bowls over the winter!
