Keep calm!

Another solo practise session this evening, before the monthly committee meeting. Another unremarkable result.

Well, not quite. Bowls outside the three feet radius from the jack are now tending to be long rather than short. That means in a match they're more likely to rest against or knock out an opponent's bowl. And they may count for a moved jack. So I do think I'm making progress.

Need to be on top form during the four days around this weekend. In three days there's my four woods quarter final, on Friday evening, against one of the club's top players. He's won honours at County and National level. English Bowling Federation National Two Woods Singles winner no less. And County Champion of Champions. Going to be an education at least.

On Sunday morning it's my two woods quarter final against a fellow B team player. Fancy my chances.

And finally, on Monday it's the drawn pairs semifinal against good opposition. A win will see me making at least one appearance on Finals Day again.

By this time next week it'll be either happiness or heartache! Here's the update chart and this evening's scoresheet...
