Sponsorship

Appointment at the bowls club this morning with the club treasurer to see the owner of a local coach firm about sponsorship. Gave him a tour of the club and explained the history. Talked about advantages of association with the club, what we had to offer a sponsor and what donation we were aiming for.

Gave us a good hearing and went off saying he'd talk to his finance people and would be in touch. Went about as well as we could hope for.

Already got an offer from a local rubber company to give us free ditch linings in exchange for promoting them. May also get some interest from local building societies, although not until later in the summer.

All part of the push to keep fees down by enrolling new members as well as getting sponsors.
