First of my team sheets up on the club noticeboard this afternoon for the men's B team. Spent quite a bit of time deciding who to play and building a database so I can keep track of who had played, in what position, and how well they played. Aim is to get to a settled team, the best team, as soon as possible. Got to get promotion out of Division 4!

Have these triples combinations played together in earlier years? Alternately, have you tried to rebalance the talent?
ReplyDeleteHi Clarke... Last year's captain used set groups of four on rotation. So anyone who registered as wanting play for the team got a game, regardless of skill. I want us to gain promotion from Division 4. We really should be paying at a higher level. So I'm aiming to pick the best team. But initially I'm not sure what that is, though I have an idea of many players skill level and did some analysis of the average round to which each player got in the club competitions. I'm aiming to give all players a chance to demonstrate their skill before fixing on a more settled team every week. Regards, John
