Missed the bowls club committee meeting last night, having just arrived back by train from Scotland. Given a warning from one of the other committee members that there was a discussion about the Men's 4s B Team captain. The current captain has done the job for ten years and thinks he deserves time off for good behaviour. So a new captain is being sought for next season. My name was suggested and I'm to be sounded out.
Later, in the changing room after the match, the current captain did the sounding out. Wouldn't mind, but does that mean I'd have to give up my aspiration to play for the A Team? Must find out more before making any commitment.
