Less than a month to go to Opening Day! And only three weeks to my first bowls game of 2015. Managed to wangle a match against the Secretary of Houghton & Wyton Bowls Club. They open a week earlier.
Gazed longingly at the green during a session on my allotment. Looking good, other than a bit of rabbit trouble. Things are hotting up in preparation for the big day. Committee meeting tomorrow when we'll discuss arrangements for Opening Day. Several sessions repainting the inside of the clubhouse to freshen things up. The week before several working parties to get everything spick and span.
And then... five months of fun and games. Hopefully ending with an appearance on Finals Day again. Possibly win a competition or two. Maybe even beat my brother Andrew at last!
