Even more reason for me to idle away time at the bowls club in 2015. Moved my allotment from the large, clay ridden plot at Hill Rise. Got allocated space on land owned by the club next to the clubhouse.
Been digging and tidying during December. Transferred raspberries, strawberries, a blackcurrant bush, chives and leeks. Planted onions, garlic, and broad beans, though all a bit late.
Beautiful plot to work. Near the Great River Ouse, so the soil is alluvial. Will be interesting to see just how much I can grow in a small area. Watch this space for periodic updates.
